STREET TEAM
Our Street Ministry Team represents compassion in action, extending a warm hand to the homeless and disadvantaged members of our community every week. We bring more than just a meal, we bring nourishment for the body, soul, and spirit.
Statistics claim that Wodonga has approximately 200 people currently living homeless. We hear stories about people not turning the heater on because they can’t afford to pay the bill and families who can’t feed their children properly because the cost of living is so high.
Our dedicated team serves up healthy meals, prepared with love and care, ensuring that no one goes hungry, but our mission extends beyond the plate. We create a space for social engagement, fostering connections and breaking down the barriers of isolation that often accompany homelessness. Our team provides a space where individuals find a supportive community where they are seen, heard, and valued.
Through our weekly visits, we strive to not only alleviate hunger but also to restore dignity and hope. Together, we're not just providing sustenance; we're nourishing the human spirit, one meal, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time. Our Street team is a beacon of light in the darkness, reminding us all of the power of compassion and community.
We operate on Thursday evenings at Junction Square Carpark, Wodonga between 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
